We were very disappointd. It seemed to be primarily chamber music and mostly replicated of Stravinsky, whom I feel like someone is scratching a chalk board with long figer nails.
The composers didn't know what to say when asked what was their inspiration for their music.
Terrance McNight looked uncomfortable and was moving around alot until he finally got up for a while.
The only music that was acceptable to our ears, was the first presentation of Laura. The only problem was she was blowing that horn so strongly and was much too close to the microphone. It was actually offensive & abrasive to the ears. I only wish none of them used microfones for their instruments, it would have been much more enjoyable. When Laura was singing, she was so low, with a very sexy voice (which was lovely), but couldn't understand her at all. I think she needs a little constructive comment of not being so close to the microfone when she is talking, not singing, couldn't understand her at all.
Other than that, I often like Chamber Music, but Saturday's 4 to 6:30 was too much like Mostly Stravinsky, whose music I have never cared for.
Thank you for asking my opinion. We left by 4:45pm
