Edgar Degas did not start out painting dancers. There was a dancer who was the first, who was the reason that he spent the rest of his life painting the ballet. The Seduction of Edgar Degas is the unknown story of this seduction--the artist coming into his own and the dancer who showed him his life's work.

Too much exposition, not enough action, actors in a great hurry to some unknown destination.

I had never been to a play with the actors so very close to the audience, so it was definitely an interesting experience. It felt as if I were actually in the play.

Very well acted & lovely voices ! The cast is very talented.
Telling everyone about this play.
A good time was had by all.
The service was professional . No problem obtaining tickets.
Thank you.

The weather outside was "frightful" --NYC in the grip of a tropical storm--but I went to this show anyway!! It was worth the trip!!! Very good.

I thought it could have used more of a plot. There was a lot of bickering dialogue between Degas and the " first dancer". It got tedious. Other than that, the actors were great, especially the matron who over saw the ballet. The costumes and set were great, for a small theater. I would have like to see the dancers more. They were great.

I had never been to the 59E59 Theater before. The cast was excellent especially the two lead characters. Very, very talented actors.

I enjoyed the play, thought the actors were very good and will continue to go to productions at 59E59. The theater was cold and therefore uncomfortable.

Sent a note to customer service. Wrong time was given. Ended up going anyway, at a later time.

Play is overwritten and poorly acted; characters are making speeches
at each other, not talking. I am extremely interested in both Degas
and the ballet so I was amazed at how boring it was. Worst thing
I've seen at 59E.59th St. Theatre.
Eugenie Fiocre was the toast of Paris, considered to be, perhaps, the most beautiful woman in all of France. After seeing her in the revolutionary ballet La Source, the artist Edgar Degas desired nothing more than to paint her.
