About the Ticket Supplier: The Sidney Bechet Society
The Sidney Bechet Society, Ltd.(r) was formed in July of 1997. Its charter is to promote the music inspired by Sidney Bechet. The projects include proclamations for the Sidney Bechet Day in Queens and Brooklyn, a Sidney Bechet stamp, publishing the Bechet Quarterly, presenting jazz concerts and changing the name of Quincy Street to Bechet Street. The first jazz concert featuring Bob Wilber and Benny Waters, was named concert of the year by John Klee in the Mississippi Rag for the year 1997. The same honor was extended to our jazz concert in 1998 and 2001.
