Soul meets the blues when guitarist Irving Louis Lattin delivers classics from Al Green, B.B. King, Otis Redding, Sam Cooke, Muddy Waters, Marvin Gaye and more. The native Chicagoan has found a niche as a bandleader, vocalist and songwriter, and his expertise has given him the opportunity to play with some of the best in both blues and R&B. For the past nine years, Lattin has been working with the Songs of Love Foundation -- where he writes personal songs for sick children in hospitals all over the U.S. -- and his shows have entertained audiences in Europe, Asia, Jamaica and Puerto Rico. The show was as rich and powerful as I expected. Each and every performer was truly exceptional. Although I knew the songs they gave them all exceptional flare. What magnificent vocals. The rendition of Richard Smallwoods gospel was truly great. Glory to God. Would love to go and see them at brunch however I am at church. Perhaps they will consider a later showing as I would love to see them again. Also the food was excellent. Just right portions and the cost was affordable. Dessert was decadent, you know sinfully delicious.Waitress was lovely name a combination of her parents name, don't want to mangle it.
