(Formerly known as "The Art of Wine Tasting.") Join Classic Harbor Line for a new series celebrating the wonderfully diverse and ever changing world of wine! 

Each month, the cruise will focus on a different region, exploring the grapes, styles, soils, viticulture, and tasting techniques that will help you enjoy the place in your glass! These interactive tastings will be conducted by wine professional Wendy Crispell in a fun, relaxed atmosphere aboard the beautiful yacht Manhattan. Light tapas will be expertly paired to complement the evening's wines. 

This series is inspired by the 400th Anniversary of NY. People from many cultures sailed into our harbor bringing regional cuisine and traditions that helped to make NY one of the most diverse culinary destinations in the world! 

  • Taste 5 different wines from a specific region in the world (We select 5 different Wines for each event)
  • Light tapas matched with the wines of the evening
  • Learn the basics of tasting in a fun, informative setting
  • Find out what makes each wine different and unique
  • Discuss major styles, grape varieties, regions, trends and more 
  • Passed Hors D' Oeuvres will be paired with the specific wines of the evening
Note that from June to August, special Saturday afternoon trips will be 45 minutes longer and will do a full circumnavigation of the island!

One Grape, Six Wines, For the Love of Pinot Noir - September 27th
In this comparative tasting we will focus on the many different styles of Pinot Noir. Learn just what makes one grape taste so different and unique depending on climate, soil, winemaking techniques, and oak treatment. Sip, swirl, and savor the night away as we learn about one of the noblest grapes in the world!

Classic Harbor Line LLC

Built in 1994 in the Scarano Boat Building of Albany, New York, the Schooner Adirondack is an 80-foot wooden replica of a classic turn-of-the-century pilot schooner. Heading south from Chelsea Piers and down the Hudson River to Battery Park, the Schooner Adirondack passes by Ellis Island and sails out to the Statue of Liberty. Wind and time permitting, she will head toward Governor's Island, breeze by the Financial District and the Brooklyn Bridge on the East River. The 1920s-style motor yacht "Manhattan," also built by Scarano Boat Building, is brand new to the New York City harbor as of spring 2006. This 80-foot, wood-trimmed, Gilded Era commuter yacht runs full circumnavigations of Manhattan, dinner cruises and sunset cruises, and is available for private charter.
