No topic is taboo for Ryan Stout, whose clean-cut look belies his nature to delve into morally repugnant subject matter with smart and sterile objectivity for big laughs. Using exaggerated honesty, delightful insincerity and mock self-righteousness, Stout's wickedly dark material appeals to everyone's sense of logic. Make no mistake, Stout will talk about rape and abortion, but to keep things on an intellectual level, he'll do his best not to curse. A veteran of Chelsea Lately and various MTV shows, Stout will take you into a dark corner ... and make you laugh out loud. Learn More

The venue is very cool - what a comedy club would be if it went thru a modern makeover. The show last night was great because of three reasons: John Oliver, first and foremost. I'd pay the price of admission just to see him. Wyatt Senac, second, but not second-rate. He had a nice show, shook his hand afterward, nice guy! Thirdly - the bread pudding. YUM!Written on Jun 25 2009
The other guys (Adam and Rory) were decent enough. Not holding it against them, it was a pretty 'cold' room until Wyatt came on.
Here's where the suckage happened: I don't know whose bright idea it was to invite this other 'performer' to the stage before Wyatt and John did their sets. He was some random Irish rugby player, pseudo-Bard like, who proceeded to share, in a fake sounding Irish accent, about his grandmother and his growing up in Scranton, and the recited a really REALLY long, very crude long 'sea shanty' of a poem about prostitutes and a guy named Dead Eye Dick. Oh, but not before regaling us with a rugby pub song. WTF. Stopped the room cold. That was a very big mistake as far as I'm concerned. Thank goodness for Wyatt and John!!!!

This comedy show was about average. I thought the first couple comedians were okay, and then the main guy (the British guy from the daily show) was definitely hilarious. They had really good food (I had the onion rings with ranch-which was spicy and delicious). 2 drink minimum, or 2 item minimum (order a drink and an appetizer?). The goldstar ticket seating was in the back of the room, but there was really no bad seat in the house. I would go back, but probably not for this show again.Written on Oct 29 2009

Insanely funny. A great lineup of performers, headlined by John Oliver, who is even funnier at standup than on the Daily Show. Some of the earlier performers were just so-so, but they all added something. Towards the end, I laughed until I cried. Worth the price of admission 5x over. Oliver is on par with the comedy greats (Murphy, Martin, Carlin, Seinfeld, Rock, et al) and this event presents such incredible value to be able to see him for almost nothing... best Goldstar event I have been to, hands down.Written on Apr 02 2009

Definitely a worthwhile show for the price. You have to purchase 2 items off the menu (drinks or food or combo), but the prices are comparable with typical NY bar prices. There are no bad seats in the venue. This was a steal to see this kind of talent from The Daily Show. I recommend it highly.Written on Jun 12 2009
