Zack of Zack's Dance Loft was chosen one of the best instructors in the city by none other than New York magazine, and he's ready to guide you through the basic steps of this sexy and playful partner dance. The evening starts out with socializing at an open bar featuring wine and spirits. The happy hour is followed by a 60-90 minute beginner's class. No experience is necessary, and partners rotate, so you can come on your own or with friends. A few of my friends and I joined in this past Saturday. We danced, learned a few moves, and had a great time. Can’t wait to go back for that salsa dance class. One thing ... we didn’t get to see the performance because the instructor had to leave. That was a downer. Besides that detail we all had a great time. A good way to start the main moves for belly dancing. Pretty good coverage for a 1 hr workshop. Would recommend (not necessary, but suggested) getting some exercise maybe a week before the class, so one can get maximum milage from the class...Written on Mar 31 2008
Only downer was that there was no performance as promised at the end of the class.... We were really looking fwd to that piece.

My girlfriend and I went for the first time to Zack's to take the Belly Dancing Shimmy Social and now I think will be trying to attend this class 2x a month! It was great. The teacher is really good and Zack runs a great dance studio. I can't wait to try his other class- the Salsa class on Thursdays. Description
Shimmy your way into this event at Zack's Dance Loft which includes complimentary wine. The event consists of an hour minute belly dance class with Anna. Anna was featured in concert with European singer Ingrid. Her latest appearances include MTV's My Sweet 16 program showing her belly dance performance. Recently Anna was featured as a main belly dancer in Don Omar's "Salio el sol" music video, as well as performing her "live python show" at an after-concert party for Guns 'N Roses.
These classes are designed for the beginners. At these classes you will learn new moves, techniques, and complete beginner level choreographies, which will help you to develop different skills. Most important, no commitment to a fixed schedule is necessary. Each class is designed to allow you to get a taste of the dance in a beautiful studio with a fun atmosphere. Yet if you choose to, these classes will allow you to finish the beginner level once you complete 12 classes in the next 6 months.

In case of late cancellation, all you need to do is reschedule the class to the current week (Monday-Sunday).
