Betty Buckley is one of the last great Broadway divas. I have seen her 6 times and she always gives nothing less than a perfect show. I hope Goldstar has a discount offer when she is at Feinstein's in February!!!

Betty Buckley is such an icon! A lovely woman, a true performer & an emotional artist. She does a beautiful job at Birdland, anyone who enjoys cabarets must check her out!!!
She will not be singing theatre tunes, just so you know. She does covers of Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, and others... All the songs sung are personal, and her favorites. She is absolutely beautiful to watch!!!

Fabulous performance by a legend in musical theater and cabaret.
Betty Buckley's choice of material was extraordinary and her combo of musicians were great pros. Also it was fun to be at Birdland and be part of the history of this venue. The current location on West 44th is ideal and the place is spacious and elegant.

Betty is a Broadway legend she owes it to her audience to sing a few show tunes, throw us a bone. She made it clear that she would not sing any! Very disappointing!

More Details
Betty Buckley made her Broadway debut in 1969, and her rendition of "Memory" in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cats not only won her a Tony Award, but established her reputation as the singer New York Magazine calls “The Voice of Broadway.” Her other Broadway credits include Hesione in Triumph of Love, Norma Desmond in the London production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Sunset Boulevard, and Mama Rose in the great American musical Gypsy.
Buckley has appeared on screen in films such as Stephen King's Carrie, Bruce Beresford's Tender Mercies, Roman Polanski's Frantic, Woody Allen's Another Woman, and Lawrence Kasden's Wyatt Earp, and television series including Monk, Oz, and Eight is Enough.
In addition to her credits on screen and stage, Betty is also a composer, and has recorded 11 solo albums (her first recording contains mostly songs she wrote) and is featured on many Broadway compilation recordings. Now touring the U.S., Betty brings one of the most powerful and legendary instruments in musical theater, her voice, to the Birdland stage.
