New World Stages presents Bullet for Adolf, the irreverent new comedy written by Woody Harrelson and Frankie Hyman and directed by Harrelson. It's a sweltering summer in 1983 Houston, and an unlikely friendship forms among a couple of midwestern hicks and a slick New Yorker trying to escape his past. A World War II artifact disappears, setting off a chain of events that will change things for everyone. Friends Harrelson and Hyman based their rapid-fire new comedy on real people they met while working a construction job in Texas in the early '80s, although the events are mostly fiction. As Harrelson says, "it's seven-percent history and ninety-three-percent embroidery." Bullet for Adolf premiered in the spring of 2011 at the Hart House Theatre in Toronto.

I really enjoyed this play, funny, some of the wittiest lines and the performances are top notch. Loved how they incorporated the music and video clips during scene changes, very well done. Is the the greatest plays out there, no, but it is entertaining and held my interest the whole time. Well done, 4.5 stars since it had some awesome over the top moments.

This is a very funny play, well written and well acted. We thoroughly enjoyed it. It is a dark comedy with interesting characters. The staging was very creative, making good use of small space.
