The unacknowledged hero of many a flavorful meal, horseradish finally gets the attention it deserves at the inaugural North Fork Horseradish Festival. Get the family ready for an outdoor adventure at the beautiful Hallockville Museum Farm on Long Island, where there'll be cooking demonstrations, recipe competitions (best soup, sauce/dip and Bloody Mary), tours of the historic farm and presentations on harvesting, cooking and reaping the health benefits of horseradish. For the kids, there'll be fun activities, crafts, balloon animals and a livestock display. And since there's no way to get through a horseradish festival without getting hungry, there'll be vendors selling burgers, beer and lots of other treats. Spend a day reconnecting with nature, laughing and learning. Did you know the horseradish root -- a member of the mustard family -- is actually the main ingredient in U.S. "wasabi"? (Real wasabi is expensive and rare in the U.S.) Learn More

We were suppossed to be on the Infinity but the boat was changed to the Hyprid since they did not have enough people. We were on a different level than the Dinner Cruise people and were told we could not go to that level even though the DJ was on there. We did end up there later and had a blast with the DJ who was excellent and made my daughters birthday very special. We were suppossed to get a tickets for each one of us for a free welcome drink, but only got 2 instead of 5. The boat left late and returned early, but we were able to stay onboard with the DJ. The sights were breathtaking!
