Experience a night of exciting, experimental and environmentally sound modern dance, as acclaimed Philadelphia choreographer and MOMIX veteran Brian Sanders brings his troupe, JUNK, to New York. The company, which critics have called "Philly's most imaginative perpetrator of daredevilish physical theater," incorporates found objects into highly acrobatic and hilariously inventive programs like Patio Plastico Plus, a series of seven prop-based pieces featuring breathtaking aerial dance, a satirical pas de deux, a tin can ballet and the title work. That dance, which debuted at the Philadelphia Fringe Festival, takes a patch of AstroTurf, a suite of plastic lawn furniture and some lounge music and turns it into a display of bubbly, Fellini-like glamour. Had a great time on the tour! The tour guide was friendly and knowlegeable. Loved our snack stops along the way. The meat pies at Myers of Keswick were delicious, as were the cookies at Insomnia Cookies. I would definitely recommend this tour for locals and tourists.
The tour starts off where the Oreo cookie was born, then heads up to the High Line to admire the views and explore the west side’s glory days as the city’s largest industrial area. It then enters Greenwich Village to explore its side streets, stoops, squares and sordid tales of riots, murder, abuse, artistry and spite.
You'll explore following areas:
- West Chelsea
- Meatpacking District
- West Village
- Greenwich Village
The tour covers two miles in a little over 3 hours. Wear comfortable footwear and dress appropriately for the weather, as the tours go on rain or shine.

Guide gratuities are not included in the tour price. While not mandatory, they are always appreciated.
The tour ends near Washington Square Park in the heart of Greenwich Village.
