A celebrated New York event since 2010, the Bistro Award-winning series that celebrates Stephen Sondheim and his legendary career comes to the stage at 54 Below. Sondheim Unplugged features some of Broadway and cabaret's most dynamic voices, accompanied solely by piano, singing numbers from A Little Night Music, Company, Into the Woods, Follies, Passion, Dick Tracy and more. Past special guests have included actors who originated roles in Sondheim's musicals, including Len Cariou, Victoria Mallory, Chip Zien and Donna McKechnie, so you never know who might drop in. Series creator Phil Geoffrey Bond hosts the show, and in between numbers shares Sondheim facts, history and related theatrical lore. Learn More

54 Below is an amazing venue! The decor is striking, the staff attentive, attractive and welcoming. Our waiter was helpful and attentive. The list of specialty cocktails is full, and the one I chose, the Conner, was unique and delicious. The food is skillfully prepared and very tasty. I had the lobster dish, which was a novel presentation of a personal favorite. Then, Jarrod took the stage and the room burst into life. His song selection coincided with my own taste, and his performance exceeded expectations. I had seen him in "Beautiful" so I had an idea of what to expect. But, the band and backup singers enhanced his talent in such a positive way. It was a lovefest on the stage! I already bought tickets to see him again; this time with my daughter for her birthday...I'm sure we won't be disappointed.
