The Skivvies live up to their name: singer-actors Lauren Molina and Nick Cearley play stripped-down arrangements of dance songs while stripped down to their underwear. Letting it all hang out, the Skivvies transform songs from every genre into bewitching harmonies accompanied by cello, ukulele, glockenspiel and lots of skin. What began as a YouTube sensation is now an all-out phenomenon: Their packed live shows are often visited by big-name stars who (stripped, of course) join the band for a little near-nude music-making. This show at 54 Below is set to feature special guests you'll recognize from the Broadway stage. Learn More

Marilyn Maye was great tonight, singing a lot of Broadway songs I had never heard her sing in an act in the last several years...She was also having a LOT of Fun. THERE'S NO ONE LIKE HER! In the audience tonight the great Lana Cantrell! Don't miss this enggement! There is no one like her and her take on songs you think you know is fresh and wonderful. She ended with Losing My Mind which she played in a big theater and then of course Carlotta's song which she did in San Diego and at Carnegie Hall in Sondheim's Birthday...I'm Still Here! And she is and long may she wave! She sang songs from Cabaret, Promises Promises, My Fair Lady, many Guys and Dolls songs, Sherry (her James Lipton tale is a riot!), and entire How Now Dow Jones Lincoln Mercury jingle! She did a lot of the male songs from the musicals and her only non Broadway song was a wonderful rendition of "I'm Thru With Love." The lady has no peer, she is above and beyond every other singer in the world and it's amazing that she hasn't changed keys and her power is as strong as ever. She did the title songs from Mame and Hello Dolly, personalizing that song for the friends in the sold out house! And she sang "Elegance" with special lyrics and "If He Walked Into My Life"! Don't miss her!

Marilyn is the single greatest bang for your entertainment dollar in NYC (or wherever else you happen to find her)! A great singer, consummate entertainer, and warm and funny person. NOBODY does it like this.
Quite simply, the best.
