Lincoln Center celebrates the Mostly Mozart debut of the “astute and exciting” (The New York Times) Jonathan Nott as he leads the Festival Orchestra in Beethoven’s Fourth Symphony and Stravinsky’s poignantly beautiful Symphonies of Wind Instruments. Pianist Juho Pohjonen, one of the brightest talents to emerge from Finland in many years, debuts in a sunny and vigorous Mozart concerto.

The extraordinary Brazilian pianist Nelson Freire makes his long-awaited Mostly Mozart debut, performing Beethoven’s landmark Fourth Piano Concerto, an intimate work infused with tranquility and lyricism. The program begins with Stravinsky’s Symphony in C, a work both distinctly modern and evocative of Mozart’s 18th-century textures and forms.
