Conductor and music director Louis Langrée and French pianist Jean-Efflam Bavouzet join the Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra for a concert that throws the spotlight on Hungarian master Bela Bartók, beginning with Witold Lutosławski's Musique funèbre, a reverential work dedicated to the composer's memory. Bavouzet then takes the lead on Bartók's Third Piano Concerto, inspired by the call of a North Carolina bird. Mozart's Symphony No. 39 provides the stirring finale. Conductor Langrée is set to take over as musical director of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra in 2013, and Bavouzet performs both here and abroad, making his New York Philharmonic debut last season.

Concert was wonderful.seats were a little too close to the stage so that the sound was not too balanced.
