The weather was cold. I wore suit, but the atmosphere is casual so feel free to go with jeans..

The play was intense and superbly acted. The seats were pretty bad. Up high and a lot of the time the actors could not be seen. Certainly not what I expected!

This was a wonderful adaptation of a classic. James Franco and Chris O'Dowd were fabulous. Our seats were not bad.

Quotes & Highlights

  • “Chris O’Dowd is astonishing and heartbreaking. The multitalented James Franco gives a performance that’s equally honest and beautifully crafted. There’s no way to overpraise this ensemble who bring Steinbeck’s characters to life, including the truly memorable Leighton Meester. The other star of the show is director Anna D. Shapiro, who turns in an impeccably mounted production without a single blemish.” — Variety
  • “A moving masterpiece!” — Time
  • “A thrilling evening in the theatre!” — NPR
