A legendary blues singer-songwriter-guitarist, John Mayall approaches his 80th birthday with a new international tour and fittingly-titled album, A Special Life. He's never really left the road, keeping up a busy worldwide performance schedule, and releasing more than 60 discs over the course of his historic career. It all started in the '60s, when Mayall formed the Bluesbreakers, the band that laid the blueprint for a generation of British blues and rock, and introduced Eric Clapton to the world. When Clapton and bassist Jack Bruce left to form Cream, Mayall continued on, and the Bluesbreakers launched the careers of many other rock legends, including Peter Green and John McVie of Fleetwood Mac, Mick Taylor of the Rolling Stones, and many more. Opening the show will be rising blues star and YouTube sensation Matt Anderson. Learn More
Be firm about the table you want they tried to steer us to their so called VIP section which is not handicapped accessible and is a platform in a corner of the room with terrible sight lines. The staff was not pleasant about our requestion for a more handicapped accessible table -offering us a tqable very far from the stage at a time when the venue was empty, then offering us a table facing away from the stage from which the media part of the show could not bee seen. I was very disappointed with the treatment received as a Goldstar member and I will not return to this venue. ON the contray 54 below gave us a great table for the Barbara Cook show and the Cutting Room gave us a ring side table for Rhonda RossRonnie Spector's Beyond the Beehive info • May 08 2013 star this tip starred
