report as inappropriateThis was a great day. Max of City Rover does an outstanding tour. This is not just a walk, but an education. The stories Max provides as you leisurely walk, are wonderful. Crossing the bridge into Brooklyn, to see DUMBO and Brooklyn Heights was the icing on the cake. Base on a recommendation from Max we also enjoyed a lovely lunch at the Brooklyn Heights winebar. All in all, a great day for a walk !
report as inappropriateMy daughter (mid 20s) and I took this tour a few days ago. It was fabulous! Max is so very informative and knows how to make everyone enjoy the experience. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone whether they are visiting NYC or a local resident looking to expand their knowledge of the history of the Brooklyn Bridge and two of the surrounding areas DUMBO and Brooklyn Heights that are included in the walk. I've already suggested it to some of my friends!
report as inappropriateThis was the best nyc/brooklyn walking tour that we have been on. Max went out of his way to make the tour enjoyable and was able to answer many of our questions. We had out of town guests w/us and they didn't stop talking about how terrific Max was! We would definitely join him on his other tours in the future! Thanks Max!

Description
In addition to walking across one of the greatest engineering feats of the 19th century, the Brooklyn Bridge, we will explore two unique Brooklyn neighborhoods: D.U.M.B.O and Brooklyn Heights. We'll also rewind the clock and learn about the largest battle of the American Revolution to see where George Washington staged his “midnight escape.”
This tour runs about 3 hours and covers about 2 miles on foot. Some uphill walking is required. Each participant will receive a bottle of water and a chocolate sample during the walk. Please note that the tour usually ends in Brooklyn Heights, Brooklyn (the tour crosses the bridge one way). Directions for the short subway ride back to Manhattan will be provided.
