Following a hit run at the New York International Fringe Festival and two sold-out runs at the Duplex Cabaret, the award-winning "Best Ensemble" of Christian Mansfield, Philip Mutz and Ken Urso is back for another summer of Gay Camp. This quick-change farce follows the stories of several young campers who've been shipped off by their parents to Camp Acceptance -- a gay reform camp -- in a desperate attempt to be "fixed." Once there, they encounter an evil headmaster, electrified fences, disco balls and even Michelle Bachmann on the way to ultimately learning how to love one another as well as themselves just the way they are. A terrific evening with wide audience appeal, The Rescignos is a dynamic identical twin duo that capitalizes on a clever and charming sibling rivalry. Brothers, Paul and Robbie, share a rare constellation of gifts: intelligence, quick wit, great singing voices and excellent comedic timing. Easy banter and fun musical choices allow Paul to shine with a cocky irreverence, while Robbie charms as the earnest, self-effacing "better" half. The Duplex (venue) is a gem of a cabaret theatre well known for cultivating brilliant new talent, like The Rescignos. I highly recommend The Rescignos. I highly recommend The Duplex. Enjoy!
