Greenwich Village Sampler Tour: From The High Line to Washington Square
In front of Chelsea Market, Between 15th and 16th Streets (75 9th Avenue New York, NY 10011)
Led by fun and friendly guides, CityRover's non-touristy tour of the West Village, the Meatpacking District and Greenwich Village kicks off at the spot where the famed Oreo cookie was born. From there, you'll explore everything from the High Line and the Stonewall Riots to the sordid history of the Village. Stop to refuel with an authentic English meat pie or New York-style pizza slice, and end your excursion in the heart of Greenwich Village, located near many great local bars, restaurants, shops and cafes.

The 5 boro bike tour was scheduled for the same day as this walking tour. No traffic alerts were sent to ticket purchasers. As a result, we could not get over to the west side--all blocked by police for the tour and missed the tour..Written on May 10 2012

This was a fun and informative tour of Chelsea Market, the High Line, and Greenwich Village. Our guide Max was so friendly and well-informed. He remembered everyone's names in our group after the initial introduction. He has a great knowledge of NYC, and a real love for mom & pop local businesses in the area. He supplied us with some delicious snacks at various locations. We had a wonderful time.Written on May 02 2012

Had a great time on the tour! The tour guide was friendly and knowlegeable. Loved our snack stops along the way. The meat pies at Myers of Keswick were delicious, as were the cookies at Insomnia Cookies. I would definitely recommend this tour for locals and tourists.Written on May 16 2011

The owner of City Rover, Max, was also our tour guide. He really knows his stuff! The tour was well worth it. Max keeps the tour group small and managable. He shows you parts of New York city that you wouldn't find in a guide book, but he also makes sure to cover the more well known sites too! As a bonus, Max gave us snacks and water, and plans in bathroom and sitting breaks along the way. Great tour for anyone interested in learning more about New York neighborhoods from a New York local!Written on Jul 25 2011
