This spring, iAdventure presents the second installment of its popular Cocktail War Series, The Spring Cocktail War. Two of New York's best mixologists will compete head-to-head to create the best cocktail using a series of secret ingredients in the allotted time. But you won't be left to sit and watch longingly -- as a member of the audience, you get to be the judge. Each week presents new ingredients and challenges as bartenders work their way through the tournament bracket to be crowned winner of The Spring Cocktail War. For the guests, the event is presented as a party featuring a rotating selection of delicious stationed appetizers, a DJ and five cocktail tastings plus two full cocktails. After the competition, stick around for some clubbing at Hudson Terrace with special guest DJs each week. VIP tickets include two more cocktail tickets for use during this after-party. Learn More

Got this for the free plus fee deal, and at $12 it was fantastic for that. I'd pay up to $25 to go once, but I'm cheap. The competition was fun, but not THAT exciting in and of itself. The sample sizes were good, and then you got the 2 full cocktails out of the ones you liked; although they ran out of an ingredient for the first cocktail later on, which was one of our favorites. The apps were french fries, chips, quesadillas and spring rolls, enough to go around happily.Written on Jan 16 2012
Went with a group of 5 people, which made it fun; wouldn't have enjoyed it as much with just one companion.
It is a long walk from the subway.
There was no line/wait to get in - we'd gotten there 20 minutes early just in case - and plenty of seating to go around if you didn't want to stand.
Overall a lot of fun for a group to hang out, try some different kinds of cocktails with snacks, and root for some mixologists trying to eventually win $1K.

I was a little skeptical at first, but it was so worth it by the middle of the night. We went on the 2nd week that it had started and Jim Beam was sponsoring the event. There were complimentary drinks from Jim Beam and the cocktails they were making.Written on Jan 26 2012
There were hot appetizers before the event started. The appetizers were good and fresh, surprisingly. My theory on appetizers are to keep your belly soak for all the drinking your going to be having.
I can't remember what type of drinks they made, but they sure as hell was good. Yes I was mixing that nite, but I stood standing the entire night.
My husband loved this event that were gonna keep going till it's over. We had a great date night. It's better to go in a group.
We'll see you there!!!

Very fun event. If you can get the ticket for less, its definetly worth it. I think I saw tickets for this event in the $40-50 range, which I believe is too much and you won't think its such a great deal. Hudson Terrace is nice, smaller then i expected, but luckily not super packed so we were comfortable. Drinks at the cash bar are very expensive. I paid 40 dollars for two drink. The ticket included 5 large samples of each cocktail that the competition bartendar makes, plus a large drink of any one you choose. so no need too purchase one at Hudson terrace. i was been a lush and then i got sticker shock. Dont do it lol. The Ticket also inlcudes light snacks, which were plentifule and good. Food was pita and hummus torttila chips and salsa and few other things i can't remember. over all the competion is fun and different experience. worth while, only for the extra $40 bucks i wasted on the drinks.Written on Apr 09 2012
