My Sinatra: Cary Hoffman's One-Man Musical About Ol' Blue Eyes

Full Price:
$60.00 - $80.00
Our Price:
$30.00 - $40.00

Cary Hoffman turns his highly-rated PBS special and concert show My Sinatra into a biographical, often hilarious, and poignant one-man stage musical about his obsession with Frank Sinatra and the effect it had on him as a Long Island teenager growing up after losing two fathers and moving in with his three studio-musician uncles, who played on some of Sinatra's classic records. Hoffman seamlessly weaves his personal story with authentic renditions of more than 20 classic Sinatra songs. Learn More

One star is for the performance of the actors. They tried hard, and I agree with the other posters, you get what you put into it. If you interact w/ the actors its a lot more fun.

Overall it was a very weird night. The food was absolutely TERRIBLE. Some of the worst food I've had in a long time. The alcohol was terrible too. I think it was old, and it likewise made me nauseous. I really felt sick after the event.

I'll list the other negatives: 1) they put the Goldstar members in the back, so the few was kind of obstructed of the stage, 2) the venue was a little grimy, and had a weird smell (they used cheap cracked plastic glasses for the champagne which was Andre), 3) all of the regulars were off that night, and every single one of the actors were understudies and 4) some of the other attendees were quick bizarre. There was a group near us who were completely wasted and were loud and obnoxious. Likewise I spotted a couple who was making out during the show. I actually was thinking the whole night that they were part of the show and was dismayed and weirded out when I learned that they were not.

I usually don't take the time to review stuff, but I really wanted to share my experience with other Goldstar members. Definitely not worth a full price ticket, don't even think it's worth a half price ticket either.

My husband and I went to this for Valentine's Day. We had a good time. We felt a little like a herd of animals when going in to be seated. Goldstar members don't really get the greatest seats in the house but you can manage. Don't go there too hungry because all you're getting are two kinds of pasta, some bread, a salad, and a piece of cake. Make sure you have cash on you for drinks from the bar as well. The show itself was good, we laughed a lot. Definitely would never pay full price for tickets to this though.
