While Rocky may have screamed "Adrian!" at the end of Rocky The Musical, the audiences were shouting for "Margo!" -- as in Margo Seibert, the Broadway newcomer who endowed the role of Adrian with intelligence, presence and a gorgeously textured voice. Now Seibert, who earlier this season gave a Drama Desk-nominated performance in Tamar of the River, comes to 54 Below for Busy Being Free, a solo showcase of music that inspires (and tickles) her. Houston Person has the most moving lyrical warm sound. His tone is distinct and his musicality is very special. Ken Peplowski is one of the few musicians today on his level. This evening he played mostly the sax,but it is his clarinet playing...continued
