this was great a great trip, it was a perfect sunny, but breezy day, the views were spectacular, and even for those who are not tourists, plus the price is right! The only con was the person speaking, he talked almost the entire trip but we could not hear what he was saying at all. Other than that this was Fabulous!

LOVED IT! Thought it was cheaper than most touristy NYC things . MY BFF from Kentucky and I went perfect opt. to talk and enjoy the skyline. Crowded on the upprer levels. But I thought the first floor view was Fab. and only 15 peeps out front on the best view!

I thought that the captain was very informative and thorough. It was a great cruise and I paid more attention to the captain and the scenery than to the waterfalls! All in all I give it four stars.

The boat ride was very nice. The narrator was very informative. Half way through the ride, we had a downpour (not fault to GoldStar). We enjoyed the boat ride. It was very clean. I would recommend it to anyone wishing to enjoy the sights of the city. I do think too much is made over the 15 million dollar Waterfalls .... It's nice, but it's just a waterfall ....

Delightful experience - we really enjoyed being out on the water and seeing all the waterfalls from different angles as the yacht traveled around the different locations on the East River. The cruise also includes a trip around tip of Manhattan with views of the Statue of Liberty... Get there early for the best top desk viewing seats...

It happened to be a beautiful day but it was hot so we stayed comfortably inside the boat which was very nice and clean and airconditioned. The speaker was very informative and since my friend was visiting from Las Vegas and has only been in New YOrk once she said she could not think of a better way to have seen New York. It was absolutely worth the price Goldstar charged for the tickets and thanks to Goldstar I could even treat my friend to the cruise.

If I didn't have my cousin's screaming kid sitting next to me I think I may have enjoyed the experience more.
If you are sitting outside in the mid-deck, it's better to sit on the right side of the boat rather than the left. When the tour guide is explaining the landmarks he talks about the right side only and if you are on sitting outside on the left of the boat you can't see the right side. I recommend sitting at the end of the boat in the outside deck or sitting at the sun deck. Also, I didn't get the tour guide's sense of humor.
However, boat was a smooth ride with great views of the Statue of Liberty and Olafur Eliasson's "New York City Waterfalls".

The weather was terrible, but we decided to go anyway when 2 Circle Line employees told us there were enough interior seats for everyone. (I asked twice to confirm this point, as I was traveling with a large group including a 2 yr old and a 90 yr old and would have taken one of the later cruises had the weather cleared). However, this was not the case and no one in my group of 11 managed a seat. Heavy rains kept us inside for over half of the trip, and amazingly not one passenger offered a seat or to move over a little so the 90 yr old member of our party could sit. Crew members ignored her as well, but they were dealing with the terrible weather, so it was easier to tolerate. The cruise itself is okay for sightseeing in nicer weather, though it felt overbooked which would ruin it regardless of the weather.

My friends and I choose the Zephyr cruise because it was advertised as a nicer boat with special audio tour of the waterfalls. When we got there, we were told that the Zephyr was chartered that night and were given tickets for "Miss Liberty" which was as luxurious as the Staten Island Ferry. The guide talked non-stop for most of the hour and we could not wait to get back on land.

Awful!
I had limited time with family in town and went to this per recommendation of a neighbor. It was horrible, touristy, oversold, overcrowded and not at all what was promised or what we expected. With all that NYC has to offer, this was a waste of time and money and I would not recommend it to anyone.

Such a splendid way to spend time in NYC. It was exceedingly hot the day we went, so we elected to stay indoors (with amazing air conditioning) rather than opting for the top outdoor level.
The tour guide was quite knowledgeable but tended to talk more about NY history than about the waterfalls. I was glad I had done some reading in advance.
The very best possible photo op of the Statue of Liberty you will EVER get!!!

I took my parents, my sister and her husband, it was 95-degrees hot and the breezes off the water were a lifesaver! The tour was great, the ship was clean and very cool, and the entire trip was wonderful. Worth every penny.

They changed the boat on us... it seemed to be charted out during the time we wanted.. so they gave us a much older boat.. so took away from the experience. But the tour itself was fine.. not very close to the waterfalls though.
