First making waves as a songwriter with classic tunes like "Crazy" and "Hello Walls," Willie Nelson went on to become one of the founders of outlaw country, blowing the walls off the Nashville sound with fellow iconoclasts Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings and Kris Kristofferson. During the '70s, Nelson recorded a string of chart-topping, critically acclaimed albums, including Shotgun Willie and Phases and Stages, with hit originals like "On the Road Again" and "Bloody Mary Morning," and classic interpretations of favorites like "Pancho and Lefty."
