Cirque du Soleil presents their newest show, Saltimbanco. This high-energy acrobatic spectacle is inspired by the urban fabric of the metropolis and its colorful inhabitants. Decidedly baroque in its visual vocabulary, the show's eclectic cast of characters draws spectators into a fanciful, dreamlike world, an imaginary city where diversity is a cause for hope.

Eh, not the best Cirque du Soleil show. Parts were OK, but I would not go back again. I would see another Cirque show first.

This performance paled by comparison to past events. Though there was some great stuff, (bike, juggling, gymnastics) they were too few and far between. Some of the performers seemed to be just going through the motions. It had somehow lost its luster and left me asking, "Is that all there is.?"
I had invited a friend who had never seen Cirque du Soliel before and told him just how spectacular their shows are. Unfortunately, this one wasn't. It was a huge disappointment for me & my guest and left me feeling foolish for spending the money. It could have spent it better elsewhere. I heard the same sentiments from other audience members as well.
No wonder why the center was only about 1/3 full.
I don't intent to attend any future Cirque du Soliel performances.

Cirque du Soleil is always amazing, but I truly think that the earlier shows are the most spectacular. This one is not to be missed!

Description

Saltimbanco -from the Italian "saltare in banco", which literally means "to jump on a bench"-explores the urban experience in all its myriad forms: the people who live there, their idiosyncrasies and likenesses, families and groups, the hustle and bustle of the street and the towering heights of skyscrapers. Between whirlwind and lull, prowess and poetry, Saltimbanco takes spectators on an allegorical and acrobatic journey into the heart of the city.

Saltimbanco is a Cirque du Soleil signature show inspired by the urban fabric of the metropolis and its colorful inhabitants. Decidedly baroque in its visual vocabulary, the show's eclectic cast of characters draws spectators into a fanciful, dreamlike world, an imaginary city where diversity is a cause for hope.
