Called by fellow playwright Edward Albee "the greatest American play ever written," Thornton Wilder's dramatization of small-town life has been adored by audiences ever since its debut. It's the story of young lovers George and Emily -- as well as their families, friends and neighbors -- as they grow up, fall in love and discover the inevitable darker sides of life in the fictional Grover's Corners. Narrated by the nameless Stage Manager and performed with minimal props or set, this groundbreaking play won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1938. Don't miss Wilder's classic illustration of the value of appreciating life's small moments. Learn More
About the Ticket Supplier: Chehalem Players Repertory
CPR was founded in 2011 by performance artists, Kymberly Herbst and Donna Gentry – both trained actresses, one in California and one in New York. Desperate for good indoor theater at their doorstep, they decided to start a company right at home in Newberg, Oregon. Their first season was a great success and this year they will continue to bring more interesting and unconventional theater to a community already rich with culture.
