If I could, I would give it 2.5 stars, but I can't, so I rounded up to 3.Written on May 25 2010
Overall, the trip was good. It wasn't the boats fault that I have a weak stomach and spent the first 4 hours with my head in the toilet... but after relieving myself of everything I might have ate in the last 48 hours, I was feelings better and excited about fishing!
The fishing that day was not good at all! They said they had a good day the day before, who knows, but we had little to no luck on Monday. We caught some small fish and had to throw most of them back.
The crew is nice and seasoned boating/fishing (??) people, so they were very helpful. But don't expect them to come up to you, if you need help ask them!
There was a small kitchen on board, so you can purchase breakfast (breakfast burritos, eggs, bacon, toast, etc), lunch (they made burgers) and drinks (water, Coke, Sprite and Beer).
I know that if I had caught some fish I would have LOVED IT!, but I would consider going again since I do enjoy fishing. Maybe just a 1/2 day trip next time or take some motion sickness medicine before...

I brought my 13 year old son on this trip and he was delighted. The guys on the boat showed him the ropes and he was catching fish all morning. Even though fishing in So. California waters just ain't what it used to be there are still fish to be caught and there is always a chance for an off day as with any fishing experience. I recommend this trip for anyone interested in fishing it's like getting the whale watching cruise and fishing trip in one.Written on Oct 23 2011

A wonderful day of fishing. Great weather, wonderful fishing and a tremendous fishing crew. Captain John and deckhand Caine were absolutely wonderful as usual. Try the burgers and breakfast burritos from the grill on the boat, perhaps the best food in Southern California.Written on Sep 01 2011
