It was a wonderful evening....the lights were fantastic on the boats and houses. i agree with someone else that rated this that it would have been nice to have a place to sit down like some of the other boats had, on the outside. but all in all fun was had by all who went in our party. thank you for offering this!Written on Dec 22 2009

Difficult to rate and review fairly as it was held in a constant rain and I don't know if that kept boats in dock instead of parading. Also, since we went out on the second sailing of the night, I don't know if more boats went out earlier.Written on Dec 20 2010
I've seen this event from the shore before and next time, this might be the way to go but, again, they can't control the weather.

I finally got to do something I've wanted to do for years, and I was not disappointed. The only issue I had was that the advertisement made it sound like all of the boats had seating. We had to stand up for the whole two hours, which is about one hour too long. The lights on the boats and the houses were outstanding.Written on Dec 22 2009

Great way to get a different view of the parade However the boat used for the parade was a fishing boat with limited outside seating areas.Written on Dec 21 2009

Description
The Newport Beach Boat Parade is the premier Christmas event not only for Orange County and Los Angeles but Southern California. The parade is viewed by over a million people each year and Newport Harbor comes alive with decorations for the boat parade. Homes, yachts, docks whole landscapes are transformed into a magical holiday experience. Newport Beach begins its holiday decorations after Thanksgiving and by the first of December the harbor is richly illuminated with thousands of lights and hundreds of themed estates.
