The scenery and sunset was beautiful. They had a musician aboard for quality live music which we really enjoyed. Drinks are $4.00, and there is initially quite a line. The bar is simple basics, and if you're hungry, eat before. Their appetizers are a bag of tortilla chips and a jar of salsa. You could purchase hot dogs, candy, or a bag of chips.Written on Jun 20 2011

First of all, they no longer offer the 5:30pm Fiesta Cruise so for those who are planning on doing that time slot, forget it. My event was planned for Saturday 06/05/10 for 5:30 and when I got to Davey's Locker, the guy behind the register didn't even know what I was talking about. He looked at me with a confused expression and asked, "where did you order from", which I replied, "Goldstar".. and he still didn't know what I was talking about. He apologized for the confusion and did offer to take take us on the 7-8:30pm cruise but it was cold and we were dressed for warm weather. He said I could go on another date and could simply call with the new date, but to know that the Fiesta cruise was no longer available.Written on Jun 07 2010
As for parking -- it was a nightmare. We finally managed to find parking across the street like everyone here suggests but this was after circling 4-5 times and asking everyone who was by their cars if they were leaving. I was afraid that I was going to miss the boat so you can imagine my frustration when I finally got there and they looked at me like, "huh?". Not to mention that once, we opted to do valet parking, which is right next to Davey's Locker to which the valet guy responded with a, "sorry but no. there's a wedding reception and we're expecting 300 guests". what the hell the wedding had to do with us I have no idea, but whatever.
Maybe I'll change this review when I go on the cruise but my experience this past Saturday was indeed a disappointing one.

Totally fun and relaxing. There was music and a small bar to keep us entertained and of course the Newport harbor sunset. It was definitely worth the $12.50/ person ticket :] We called and asked about bringing our own food. They said a picnic style meal would be prefect so we got to bring on gourmet sandwiches and water to enjoy. There were a few diner style tables on the main deck and a bar for snack and drink purchases. On the second deck is where the captain sits. There's a nice view at the front and back. If you go to the back area there's a muscian and s/he will take requests. On this particular cruise there was a male guitarist who was able to sing his own rendition of katy perry's "tennage dream" :]Written on Apr 25 2011

Where to start. Well in theory it could be fun. Although for various reason I did not have the best time. It was cold and I'm a baby about the cold. There was a big graduation party on the boat that just took over and they were some of the most annoying people. Granted that might be a one time thing but still. It was full of 20something people that got plastered and loud (15 dollar open bar) so if you think its going to be a romantic getaway be warned. The complimentary chips and salsa were scavenged immediately by that party, who also just camped out at the bar making it extremely difficult to get a drink. The sunset was pretty poor when we went but that's just luck of the draw.Written on May 17 2010
