Norwegian pianist Leif Ove Andsnes, one of the world's most acclaimed soloists, plays a concert at Strathmore. I am a big fan of Strathmore, our tickets were good and seating is structured to make it feel a more intimate venue. Andsnes's ability to change instantly from the brusqueness of Bartok to the dreamlike fluidity of Debussey made for a treat, although the highlight for me was his expressive execution of Chopin. I just wish I had recognized the composer of the second encore he played...
