Hailed as "the best musical of this century" by Ben Brantley of The New York Times and "the funniest musical of all time" by Entertainment Weekly, The Book of Mormon won nine Tony Awards -- including Best Musical -- in its first year on Broadway. Now the national touring production is back at the Pantages for a second round of hilarity. Written by South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone along with Robert Lopez, the Tony-winning co-creator of Avenue Q, this musical comedy is a show that The Daily Show's Jon Stewart has called "a crowning achievement. So good it makes me angry." Learn More

Above the Curve Theatre proudly present its 4th Annual One Act Festival at the Actor’s Workout Studio in North Hollywood. Hundreds of plays were submitted from all over the country, and the ensemble narrowed it down to a select few, which not only captivate and entertain, but also speak to the company’s desire to produce quality shows for a diverse audience.
“Our goal in choosing plays is always to put together a balanced program with a variety of themes,” said Erica Brauer, president of Above the Curve Theatre.
This year’s festival will showcase six one act plays including comedies that will have you laughing at a young woman with a penchant for accidents, an audition with an un-likely scene partner, and a modern-day twist on everyone’s favorite princesses; and dramas which feature relationships, ones that are ending, ones that are beginning, and ones trying define what they are.
