Written by Stacy Sims (author of Swimming Naked) and directed by Sam Anderson.

As White As O tells the story of Jack Hawley . When the house he and his outsider artist father built in Rabbit Hash, Kentucky gets moved to a museum in New York by a wily curator, Jack decides its time to revisit the past. Arriving in New York, he is overwhelmed by memories of his father's life and death, a surprise about his mother, and a girl he never stopped loving. To top it off, Jack has synesthesia, a condition involving an involuntary cross-wiring of the senses. Jack tastes his feelings, smells what he touches, and sees letters in color. While young art star Ed insists Jack's synesthesia is the greatest possible way to experience the world, Jack isn't so sure. As the past becomes present, Jack must take on life again, no matter what color it is or how disturbing it tastes or smells.

The cast of As White As O features Lauren Clark, Joe Calarco, Ramon deOcampo, Keelia Flinn, TJ Marchbank, Kate Mines, Elizabeth Sampson, Mark St. Amant, Vince Tula, Jennings Turner, Bryna Weiss and Heather Williams.

It will be produced for The Road by company member Leon Russom, with set and lighting created by, respectively, the company's resident designers Desma Murphy and David B. Marling. Lighting will be designed by LADCC Career Achievement honoree Jeremy Pivnick.
