This gets only two stars because we were not informed that the 9 PM show was preceded by an opening act that was just okay. Nice guys, but not fitting for Saturday night in a theater quality.
Branch didn't go on until well after 10:30 and even then, his band did maybe a 10 minute intro before he came out. Billy is an excellent harp player, but the overall vibe was nearly a memorial for the blues. That stemmed from the announcer noting how few people were in the audience and how back in Chicago in the good old days, it would have been sold out. It really felt that way to me and I'm not only a blues fan, but a musician to boot. Last criticism is that while the theater is really cool, you gots to have liquor with the blues.
