Based on the true story of legendary country singer Patsy Cline's friendship with her most devoted fan, Louise Seger (played in this production by Sally Struthers of All in the Family fame), Always... Patsy Cline is a heartwarming hit that's been delighting audiences since 1988. Meeting outside of Houston at the Esquire Ballroom, Patsy (played by Carter Calvert) and Louise first became friends over a pot of strong coffee, forming a bond so strong that this unlikely duo remained in touch until Patsy's untimely death in 1963. This musical tribute written by Ted Swindley features a live band and includes 19 of Cline's most unforgettable hits -- such as "Crazy," "Anytime," "She's Got You," "Stupid Cupid" and "Walkin' After Midnight." A very enjoyable evening of Sinatra music. My husband and I both liked that some of our favorite Sinatra songs that were non Christmas were also included. It was well rounded with a few stories and jokes. Good voices, good comraderie between the cast and the musicians were very talented. Our seats were great-- center orchestra.
