I went with two girlfriends each from a different decade and we all had an outstanding time. Amazing concert - the band and Tim Piper were able to bring back all the emotions of listening to John. I found out a few things that I did not know and I felt emotions that I had not felt in a long time. Want to go back and relive the experience.

The show was amazing. The cast went way over the top with their music. Tim Piper is a natural. My wife and I totally thought we were being entertained by John Lennon. We will recommend this play to all of our friends.

Attended 10-18-09 matinee. A hallelujah celebration of the life and music of John Lennon! Flawless tribute presentation by Tim Piper and the band Working Class Hero [Greg Piper, bass guitar; Don Butler, lead guitar; Morley Bartnoff, keyboardest; Don Poncher, drums]. The audience is caught up in singing along.
For the die-hard Lennon fan, this is a spiritual happening. Tim Piper makes you believe he is John Lennon - the body language, vocals, costumes. The intimacy of the small theater makes you feel as if John has opened his studio for you to spend a few hours with him.
This is so convincing that when it ends, you want to invite him home to continue the dialogue with John Lennon: "Say, John, I always wanted to ask you about..."
The event is divided into two parts, with a 15-minute intermission.
The first half covers John's beginnings with his mother, the Beatles and the cultural and personal evolutions that changed both John and world.
The post-Beatles second half begins with John Lennon coming out with his acoustic guitar. He goes to the audience to sing requests and transitions into that phase of music which bared John's soul to the world.
The end of the show is not about John's death, but about the celebration of what John gave us all.
