Interference Won't Stop the Show in Hilarious Play On!
An inept theater troupe desperately attempts to make the curtain rise on its latest production in Play On!, a hilarious look at the behind-the-scenes turmoil in the vein of Waiting for Guffman. Facing maddening interference from the overbearing author who wrote the script, the wacky cast of characters won't let anything stop them as they try to bring the murder-mystery to the stage. Written by Rick Abbot and directed by Mark Swiech, Play On! is a laugh-filled romp through the wacky world on and off the stage.

Regarding the venue - It's a small theater, probably around 50 seats? The seats are low and a bit uncomfortable as they seem to be pretty worn. I had read a tip that it gets cold in there, so I took a shawl, which I used for part of it, but my friend was a bit hot, so go figure. There is one bathroom each for men and women. It's next door, but this is a building where the doors and the venue/offices are rightnexttoeachother, so it's not a big deal. You do have to climb stairs, though.Play Noir 2014 info • Sep 29 2014 star this tip starred
They had drinks before the show. I just got a bottled water but my friend got a beer called Tallulah. Cool. There was another called Prohibition. I'm not sure what they had during intermission. We ate after the show at this place called Little Toni's which is right next door. They didn't close until 2am on Saturday, so it was perfect. Food was good. It's like an old-school Italian restaurant.Play Noir 2014 dining • Sep 29 2014 star this tip starred
