Such a musical blast of fun. The talent is very high, all the women come from Broadway, you will leave singing and dancing the night away.

There's nothing about this show that is worth $25 a ticket, and the music selection is old and stale appealing mainly to octagenarians because when they sing "over there" who else would want to hear this song. I walked out during the intermission and saved the night eating sushi.

I felt that the playwright took on too broad a scope and as a result, the "thread" in this "musical review" seemed convoluted, or shall I say had snapped. Many songs seems out of context with the era being described, and speakiing of, the narration was annoying. On the up side, two of the performers ( one was from the show Jersey Boys) were amazing talents, and the scene that closes Act 1 ("It Must Be Him" bit) was worth the price of admission! Oh, and the pianist's talent astounded me!

Clever and fun!!! I thought this would be strictly for the ladies, but my husband enjoyed it as much as I did.
Liked the first Half
2rd half FELL
Not as much energy and the SONGS were Not to my liking
I felt the part with Martin L was too much and the bus wasn't necessary
I went to see the Marv. Wonderettes and this wasn't nearly as good thoroughout as that and even BEEHIVE
Needs more of the First Half in the 2rd or just omit the second half
It is more of a musical revue. It is the story of how women have been perceived the last 100 years told through the popular music of the times. Very entertaining.

It seemed to start slow but once it got going was simply delightful. Enjoyed the images cast upon the screen relating to the music. An enjoyable evening.

I enjoyed the musical but found that it is really better suited for women of a certain age group. I took my 3 teen nieces and they were lost. They got bored with a lot of the material because they were not familiar with the music and the story was given in such short snip-its that it was difficult for them to follow. I believe it would have been better if they were in college or older. Just my opinion.

Great music..great story line..good food for thought. Would love to bring my sisters and my daughters there to see it.

This show was a lot of fun. The songs, the story and the cast were amazing. The pianist was wonderful as well. You'll love "It Must Be Him" at the end of the first act and "My Daughter's Eyes" in the second. Very different numbers but both beautifully done.
GO! LAUGH! ENJOY!

Great show. We all, eleven of us, loved it.

Not nearly as good as "Beehive" or "Wonderettes". It seemed disjointed with no real story.

This is an intimate theater, only 99 seats and no assigned seating. It is a horse shaped venue, 3 rows deep, so there is not a bad seat in the house.
I don't know if this is a common practice with the El Portal, but we were served Cosmospolitans, wine or water, cheese and crackers all before the performance. At the intermission, there was fruit and veggies to nibble on and after the performance, they had cookies, brownies, mini cupcakes....all for free.
I really enjoyed the play. The main reason for me to attend was to see Jackie Seiden perform. I had seen her 3 times in Jersey Boys and loved it but unfortunately, her performance was obviously over-shadowed by the Boys. She is absolutely fantastic in this as all the other actresses.
If you like music and want to hear about the journey of women from the 1900's through today done in narration and song, then this is the play for you.

High energy! Excellent performers!! A trip down memory lane--Truly a fun evening. A great performance!!

I really enjoyed the play. It brought back alot of memories from my past. The 4 ladies have wonderful voices. The telephone scene was the funniest. I would recommend the play to other people.

Very entertaining. The cast is very talented. Seats are on a first-come basis so get there early to have your choice of seats.

The first act needs some serious work as it seems too depressing. Too many numbers of female submission without the humor. However, the blond gal's number before intermission was hilarious and from there the show took off and found its soul. Hope it continues to be a work in progress as I see great potential!

some very good songs, but shortened. i did not like the set up of the show.

A group of 6 went and we all enjoyed it immensely. Three were in their 80's and brought back memories when they were growing up and young adults, and 3 were baby boomers and loved all the songs. We always have a great time at the El Portal. All their shows are fantastic and we are so happy we are able to get tickets through Goldstar. That enables us to see more shows.

IT WAS WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I HOPE YOU HAVE MANY MORE LIKE THIS ONE!!!!!!!
