The first half of the play was pretty boaring, the two people in front of us were sound asleep! The songs were very boaring and not very lively, they could have a chosen a few more livier tunes for the show.Written on Mar 11 2008

This show is a must see! It's reminiscent of the television variety shows of decades ago with 19 musical and comical production numbers performed by a cast of beautiful and gifted women. This is entertainment at its best with all the elements of Vaudeville including fast-paced sketches, like telephone gossiping and dumb joke telling, a cute melodrama, and a wide variety of songs--country, sing-a-long, blues, pop, and gospel. Don't miss this fun-filled, talent-packed show!Written on Mar 05 2008

Description

The World Premiere of “The All Female 1929 Skidoo Review,” written and directed by award-winning Eugene H. Butler, and produced by Audrey Marlyn Singer, is “pure entertainment at its best”, a delicious homage to the world of vaudeville with hilarious skits, and high-spirited song and dance performed by an all female troupe of eight beautiful and talented women singing, dancing, and acting their hearts out.

The stage comes alive when the last surviving member of 'The All Female 1929 Skidoo Revue,' finds out that the theater where she used to perform a popular vaudeville show, is to be torn down. She sneaks into the theater with her great great granddaughter the night before the building is demolished. Suddenly the stage comes alive with one last performance of ‘The All Female 1929 Skidoo Revue.’

Experience the quick-witted and silly humor, the skits, the original songs and a serial melodrama by Butler, that mirrors the entertainment of yesteryear, bringing back heart-warming memories of the world of vaudeville as it once was.
