With their marriage crumbling, a husband and wife acting team try to hold their family's theater company together long enough to get legendary film director Frank Capra to cast them in his film remake of The Scarlet Pimpernel. But between a pregnant ingénue and a surprise visit from their daughter, things go horribly and comically wrong. A bit rough on the edges and even in the middle. Might try the venue again but this play needed work.Written on May 29 2006

More Information About The Artificial Jungle
Description
Chester Nurdiger lives in the back of his pet shop with his mother and his bored wife. One day a drifter comes along and they hire him to work in the shop. Sparks are ignited between the bored wife Roxanne and the slick Zachary Slade. They plot to murder Chester. This is the 20th anniversary production of Charles Ludlam's wild spoof of film noir classics The Postman Always Rings Twice and Double Indemnity. It's also the Los Angeles Premiere of The Artificial Jungle, the funniest murder mystery you'll see this year.
