I found the first half trite and boring. I can't comment on the second half. I wasn't there.Written on May 07 2007

More Information About The Howie Monologues (Growing Up in America)
Description
Howie (Herschel) Green begins his journey to learn America by biting his kindergarten teacher on the leg. The next 17 years are equally triumphant.
The Howie Monologues is a heartwarming semi-autobiographical tale that follows the first generation son of Russian Immigrant Jews as he reaches middle age and revisits the family, friends and lovers who shaped so much of his past, present and future. He encounters a younger version of himself and together they journey back through the years. Author Marvin Chernoff, who has a unique and perceptive eye, presents the humor, warmth, love and hope that are the timeless characteristics of the American Immigrant experience.
Directed by Larry Eisenberg and Ryan Paul James
Produced for LCGRT by Diana Martin
