With their marriage crumbling, a husband and wife acting team try to hold their family's theater company together long enough to get legendary film director Frank Capra to cast them in his film remake of The Scarlet Pimpernel. But between a pregnant ingénue and a surprise visit from their daughter, things go horribly and comically wrong. Moon Over Buffalo is a fast-paced farce that ran for more than 300 performances on Broadway and was written by Ken Ludwig who created the hit comedy Lend Me a Tenor. Learn More

The pacing was a bit slow for a farce and some of the actors stumbled a bit over their lines, but it had a few really funny moments.Written on Nov 05 2007

The premise sounded good, and there were some funny moments, but mostly it was a lot of bad language and stupid sex jokes. Not our idea of a swell time.Written on Oct 08 2007

It's very hard to pull off a farce comedy without impeccable timing and actors that are comfortable with the format. Unfortunately this didn't work and we felt badly for the actors, since they were clearly trying. Very few audience members attended our performance, and we felt like we needed to stay to support the show.Written on Oct 25 2007

This is a parody, a farce and pokes good natured fun at everyone and eve3rything. Overly sensitive people should not attend, but if you have a sarcastic streak, you'll love it.Written on Oct 22 2007

More Information About The Neighborhood Crime Watch
Description
What's so funny about a Neighborhood Crime Watch? Everything! Take seven eccentric characters and turn them upside down in a house in the San Fernando Valley, and you've got a farce that makes light of cops, priests, and postal, telephone and DMV workers.
When two bungling burglars attempt to break into a house in Canoga Park early one evening and discover that a Neighborhood Crime Watch meeting is about to take place, panic and chaos ensue. Suddenly pretending to be meeting attendees, the thieves, Ronald and Donald, run headlong into Lisa, the local florist who owns the house; Mona, her loud-mouthed neighbor; Father Bob, a sweet but slightly oversexed Catholic priest; Officer Betty Bybee, a lady cop who is willing to do her duty and little else; and Myron Teppleman, a madcap therapist who could use a little of his own therapy. There are mistaken identities, bold lies, door-slamming physical comedy, the inevitable young lovers, the not so inevitable older lovers, an unexpected reunion and a happy ending, of course.
