Acclaimed playwright Theresa Rebeck's 2006 off-Broadway drama receives its L.A. premiere from Road Theater Company and director Sam Anderson. In this modern take on a Greek tragedy, a scorned husband and father returns home after a 17-year absence -- with a new girlfriend in tow -- to face the ex-wife who still blames him for a devastating loss in their family's past. This tense domestic drama turns shocking, however, as a startling twist is revealed, leading to a stunning climax.

Sex, Drugs and Clowns Make Up the Dark Comedy That Good Night

Full Price:
$25.00
Our Price:

A darkly comedic look at what it means to be cast adrift at any age, That Good Night explores the complex family dynamic of the O'Dwyer children, who have all reconvened to say goodbye to their dying father. Among them is their 37-year-old brother, who still lives at home and works as a part-time clown while dabbling in magic, film and heroin. As the children struggle with their own identities, marriages and fatherhood, their sister reveals she has written a story that threatens to expose family secrets thought long forgotten. That Good Night explores the means we have of holding on to each other and to those lost souls who appear in the night, using black humor to create an engrossing, enlightening production. Learn More
