Luminario Ballet puts one hot topic and one cool classic rocker on stage together for its world premiere of Trails followed by excerpts from the audience favorite LedZAerial, ballet and aerial dances set to the music of Led Zeppelin. Tackling the pressing issue of climate change and the California environment, Trails is a work-in-progress ballet that mixes movement with expert data, images and video from NASA, accompanied by live musicians from the New Valley Symphony. After the performance, a NASA/Jet Propulsion Laboratory communications specialist on earth science and climate change will speak and answer questions. Learn More
On behalf of the Los Angeles Youth Ballet Theater and the Theatrics Dance Company, we’d like to let everyone know about our 2012 Fall Show: “Triple Bill.”
Triple Bill is a three part show which will include “Wonder-land” choreographed by Nichelle Bane. This is a fantastic 20 minute jazzed up version of the “Alice in Wonderland” tale with spectacular costumes and the feel of a Broadway review.
Excerpts from “Sleeping Beauty,” will revisit the 100 year old original choreography by Marius Petipa. See the Prologue & the glorious Garland Dance danced by some of the best young dancers in Los Angeles. Directed & staged by Andrea Paris-Gutierrez.
“Peter and the Wolf”, a favorite ballet with original choreography by Conny Mathot introduces us to instruments of the orchestra portrayed the the characters in the story and the music of Sergei Prokofiev. This is a premier for the Los Angeles Youth Ballet & Theatrics Dance Company.
