Two Rooms: Lee Blessing's Poignant Middle East Hostage Drama
First performed in 1988, Two Rooms remains a powerful -- and incredibly relevant -- drama about an American civilian taken hostage in the Middle East. Written by noted playwright Lee Blessing (A Walk in the Woods), Two Rooms centers on the hostage's wife's struggles back home during the course of the tense situation. Should she attempt to force the government into action, or just trust that those in power are doing their best to bring her husband home safely? Mark Swiech directs this Above the Curve Theatre production.

Regarding the venue - It's a small theater, probably around 50 seats? The seats are low and a bit uncomfortable as they seem to be pretty worn. I had read a tip that it gets cold in there, so I took a shawl, which I used for part of it, but my friend was a bit hot, so go figure. There is one bathroom each for men and women. It's next door, but this is a building where the doors and the venue/offices are rightnexttoeachother, so it's not a big deal. You do have to climb stairs, though.
