Urban Death is a series of short vignettes in Grand Guignol style illustrating macabre images of horror meant to disturb, discomfit, thrill, shock and sometimes make you laugh at the absurdity. This show is not for the faint-of-heart, but is fantastic entertainment for daring adventurers ready to delve into an avant-garde world of theatrically-twisted nightmares, insanity and deviation. From the lighting -- and then the deep, dark lack of it -- to the spooky score, effects and costumes, Urban Death plunges you into its terrifying, alternative vision.

There were definitely some clever bits but the timing between spots was a bit of a drag. The lack of a through-line left me a bit unsatisfied as well.

A very "different" type of performance. Not for the faint of heart. Some of the skits were very creepy . Others totally missed the mark. Don't go if your offended by nudity or violence.

Not for everyone. At first yes it was scary. The first act was but the rest was a bunch of mambo jumbo. There is also nudity, their acting was nice but again I was expecting something else. Over rated by some people in yelp. Not worth my time, gas, or money. Sorry folks. I could turn this show around and make it better, super scary and super booked. I did feel welcomed which a lot of places it's sad not to feel welcome. Again, their acting was good but not what I expected from I thought was going to be a scary show.

WOW!!! I had no idea what to expect and this was creative art at its best! Obviously when going to see something called Urban Death you expect some blood/gore, but this performance definitely pushed the boundaries of zombie sexuality( there was a whole lotta that!) and zombie behavior! The actors were excellent, so good that I sat in my seat with my hand cutting off the circulation of my boyfriend next to me! The suspense and anticipation between each zombie vignette was exhilarating!
I will definitely return to Zombie Joe's Underground for another production- mostly out of curiosity!
