With their marriage crumbling, a husband and wife acting team try to hold their family's theater company together long enough to get legendary film director Frank Capra to cast them in his film remake of The Scarlet Pimpernel. But between a pregnant ingénue and a surprise visit from their daughter, things go horribly and comically wrong. More Information About You're From Philly, Charlie Brown
Description
You’re From Philly, Charlie Brown is an autobiographical story about an underdog boy from an underdog town. He has as much heart as the city he loves, but neither he nor his town’s teams can get over that hump of success. Just like the famed cartoon character, the young boy continues to find hope, even in moments of utter despair. Set against the backdrop of the sixth game of the 1980 World Series, Chris Loprete's one-man show offers a roller-coaster ride of relationships, laughs, tears, failures, and finally, triumph. Whether or not you’re a sports fan, this is a story about finding your place in life.
Written and performed by Chris Loprete
Directed by Thomas Fiscella
Produced by Laura Coker
