Set in turn-of-the-century Paris to a rousing French soundtrack, the Royal Winnipeg Ballet's high-kicking production of Moulin Rouge tells a passionate story of love, ambition and heartbreak between a man and a woman who meet at the infamous cabaret, the home of the Can-Can. Choreographed by Jorden Morris, this visually-stunning show has been a sell-out in Canada and is now on a tour of the U.S. The Royal Winnipeg Ballet is the oldest continuously running ballet company in North America -- and is considered one of the world's best.

Full Price:
$42.00 - $57.00
Our Price:
$21.00 - $28.50

Valley Performing Arts Center presents Barbara Cook in concert at the Great Hall. A Tony, Grammy and Drama Desk Award-winner and a member of the Theatre Hall of Fame, Cook was Broadway's favorite ingénue and, of late, has been enjoying a career as a concert and recording artist. Throughout her esteemed career, Cook's silverly soprano has retained its pure tone and warm presence, to much critical and popular acclaim. In 2010, at the age of 83, Cook earned a Tony nomination for her performance in Sondheim on Sondheim on Broadway. She has performed with a number of symphony orchestras, in cabaret settings and at such esteemed venues as Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center and London's Royal Albert Hall. Learn More

Remarkably beautiful. This was my first ballet, and I can now say that I will forever love ballet. It was so moving that you just were sucked into to every emotion they portrayed in the dances.

We sat at the balcony,,that was the reason why I didn't enjoy as much. Becasue we had to look down from so high up, I couldn't appreciate how high the performers were jumping or being lifted... I went to that venue a few times but I really don't like the seatings...After all if I ever go there, I need to sit very close...

The sets were very eye-catching and the dancers were decent technically but seemed to lack any true passion. Goldstar's seat availability seems to be getting progressively poorer as the years go on; although only balcony seating was offered, my party was seated in the 'nosebleed' back row not allowing one to discern gender of any performer without benefit of costume. All-in-all it was entertaining but definitely not worth full price.
