Affairs Afloat presents its popular Tropicana Fridays Cruise. A live DJ plays a hot mix of Top 40 and dance music hits to keep the crowd moving. It all happens during a three-hour cruise (but music starts a full hour earlier, at the dock) down the Hudson River and through New York's famous harbor, with spectacular views of the Statue of Liberty and the Manhattan skyline. There's a cash bar and buffet, and an enclosed, climate-controlled dance floor provides the perfect space to get down, relax and unwind -- rain or (moon)shine. Learn More

This year the music was much better but the costume contest pretty much ruined the party. The best costumes were not picked for the contest only the sexy ones which was unfair and boring. I suggest plan a better contest next year and don't stop the music for long periods of time.Written on Nov 02 2011

This was advertised as a party cruise featuring "pop, dance, hip hop, rock and reggae" music. Every single song played -- except one used as a signal for the costume contest, and relentlessly talked-over by the DJ to boot --was reggaeton. I felt defrauded by the end of it. The advertisement was simply fraudulent.Written on Oct 31 2011
