It said to arrive to pick up the tickets at 7:30PM at the "Will-Call" booth. There was no will call booth so they held us in line until 8:30PM until they began to give out the tickets and let us board. It was advertised that it was self seating as you arrived. We were bilked for another $10. per person if we wanted a seat at a table that wobbled worse then the boat. They kept the boat at the dock until just after 10PM, when they finally decided to pull out. The drinks costs $7.00 and were EXTREMELY weak. If I didn't see the bartender pour the alcohol into the cup I would swear there was none in there. Perhaps they cut the liquor bottles with water. The way we were treated I wouldn't be surprised. Except for one waitress they were extremely RUDE. There was basically only one genre of music. Many people were complaining about the drinks and about getting ripped off for the additional $10.00 to sit down. The highlight of the evening was the ride around the harbor and seeing the skyline. The boat returned before midnight, so we got far less then the 2-1/2 hour ride that is was publicized as. This is one trip I would not take again myself and surely would not recommend for anyone. You'd be better off taking the free ride on the Staten Island Ferry and save yourself the money and aggravation.

These tickets were well worth the price. I've wanted to go on a dinner/dancing cruise for nearly two years, but they're so pricey. I ended up getting the Silver ticket which included dinner (nothing fancy, chicken, rice, salad, pasta), and a complimentary drink up to $10. To me, that's an awesome deal for $20. Goldstar really hit the mark on this one.

Once the boat left the dock, I really enjoyed myself. We were suppose to leave at 9:00 but didn't get moving until around 9:45. I purchased bronze tickets on Goldstar and had to pay an extra $25 to upgrade to a ticket that would allow my party to sit down. The fee also included food, which wasn't really very good but served its purpose. Pasta, rice, and chicken cutlets....okay. The Queen of Hearts isn't exactly the most modern boat but that's okay. The music was great, the drinks were good once we found the bartender who was worth walking down the stairs. The makeshift bar on the level where we were sitting was not the move. The crowd was great and we all had a great time. The staff was really nice. I would do it again, and this time i'd know not to purchase a bronze ticket. A ride worth taking as long as you're not into the fancy and just want to have a good time.
